Feedback from our clients
Jon has completely "renewed" our over 100 year old bathroom into a beautiful spa retreat! He took out the old bathroom to the studs, and built a shower area to our exact specifications. He finished the walls and tiled the shower and floor. He worked with us to save the original woodwork when possible and tie it in with the new work. Lisa advised on the fixtures, colors and accents to decorate the room. She has a wonderful eye! It turned out very nice, and everyone who sees it wants to know who did it. We highly recommend J & L Home Renewal, Jon and Lisa are perfectionists that produce a fabulous result.

We recently had J & L Home Renewal do our kitchen makeover...and we are very pleased with the workmanship, as well as Jon's professionalism and attention to detail.
We needed guidance and ideas for our too-small and outdated kitchen. Jon made several visits and came up with the perfect layout for our needs. By relocating the refrigerator, stove and dishwasher, he turned our dysfunctional kitchen into a showplace. We now have so much more counter space and storage than we ever thought possible. And our kitchen looks fantastic!
Jon oversaw every step of the process and always made sure we were satisfied with the progress, even to the smallest details. He also finished within the promised time frame, which was very important to us.
We would highly recommend Jon as a contractor, as he is creative, conscientious, and very trustworthy.
We just want to thank Jon and his crew for all their excellent work!

I hired Jon Brown (J&L Home Renewal) after seeing the work he did for a neighbors kitchen remodel. I had thought about doing my kitchen for years and because of the cramped space had seriously considered hiring a designer. However, after seeing my neighbors completed kitchen (which started out almost identical to mine), I asked him to do something similar for me. My project involved multiple changes: Rip out walk-in pantry, new shorter window, fill in ceiling light fixture, move attic access, tile front hall, replace front door, install bamboo flooring, install all new cabinets and appliances. Throughout the process Jon was patient and did not hesitate to offer me his opinion on the choices I was making. He was big on painted cabinets instead of stained. It took me a while to come around to his view, but once I did I never looked back. Jon’s skill both as a carpenter and manager were evident from the start in his work and management of workers and subs. He paid close attention to detail, and allowed me plenty of time to make critical decisions (such as placement of the island cabinets). His estimate of completion date was right on (4 weeks to the day!), and there were no significant issues with his work or the work of his assistant and subs. Jon is a soft spoken guy who was very easy to talk to and he really seemed to listen to my many, many questions. I am thrilled with my new kitchen and will not hesitate to give Jon an A+ performance rating and recommend him for any project that he would agree to tackle. – Bruce M. (Tigard, OR)
